We are currently working very hard on designing the best agenda possible for this year's event, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all the humanitarian and development staff, technical experts, and researchers who have already agreed to join and speak during the event.
This year's theme 'Perfection' versus 'Good enough' in Information Management: Adjusting to context, scale, phase & funding will serve as a framework for the discussions during the GeOnG and will be introduced by the keynote speaker during the plenary session on the first day.
During the 3 days of the conference, participants will have the opportunity to take part in different kind of sessions which put emphasis on encouraging innovation, exchange and learning.
Here is a glimpse at the provisional agenda for the roundtables:
Management experiences from the latest emergency (Bangladesh).
Evaluations of Information Management projects.
Beneficiary data: the forgotten component of the GDPR implementation?
Information Management strategies in consortiums: pitfalls & successes.
What business model for digital commons in the humanitarian sector?
What is, could and should be the place of donors in information management policies and practices?
User centric design of tools in the humanitarian field.
Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence on satellite imagery for mapping.
Interoperability and display of time dimension in spatial data.
The finalized version of the agenda will be published in the weeks leading to the conference.
For the first time around, we will then ask participants to register to the roundtables and workshops they wish to attend. We hope this will help us better plan these sessions and improve your experience as a participant!
