Eradicating poverty is hampered by unreliable or non-existent data and the lack of skills and incentives to use it. The Global Partnership on Sustainable Development Data (GPSDD) addresses this challenge by improving the effective use of data, filling key data gaps, harmonizing data specifications and architectures, expanding data literacy and capacity, increasing openness and leverage of existing data and mobilizing political will and resources.

Le projet MAnnheimer MAPAthons ("MAMAPA") a pour objectif de soutenir les efforts d'intégrations des migrants dans la région Rhin-Neckar en Allemagne, et de permettre des contributions utiles à des actions humanitaires internationales.

The MAnnheimer MAPAthons ("MAMAPA") project is designed to achieve two specific goals: to support efforts toward the integration of immigrants (resident in the Rhein-Neckar region of Germany) and to meaningfully contribute to international humanitarian initiatives.

By offering introductory training in modern cartography through immigrant participation in locally-organized mapathons, both of these ends can be served effectively and simultaneously.

As part of the workshop "Geomatics for refugees' support" organized by Master Géomatique of Cergy-Pontoise University, CartONG presented our action and organized a practical exercise for the students.
