Building an interactive map for ECPM to support their advocacy work

In the summer of 2020, CartONG was contacted by ECPM's team to build an interactive web map that would display the status and key statistics on death penalty in each country of the world and help support their advocacy work as the NGO was celebrating its 20th anniversary. This interactive web map brings together the key facts and figures related to death penalty in each country of the world. In addition to the status on death penalty, the map is displaying figures such as the number of executions in the recent years, methods of execution, and the number of prisoners in a death row.

CartONG conducted additional work in 2021 to improve the web map following a new request from ECPM. New features were integrated, such as storing and visualizing information on intergovernmental organizations.
