Le projet consistait à introduire et présenter les outils SIG dans un contexte humanitaire puis à analyser les besoins et les capacités du Groupe URD, afin de déterminer quels pourraient être les apports des technologies géomatiques dans le Groupe URD, et dans quelles mesures CartONG pouvait les amener.
Depuis 2012, CartONG propose des formations aux étudiants de Bioforce (notamment les chefs de projet, les coordinateurs WASH et les logisticiens) sur la collecte de données mobiles, les SIG et le S&E. Plusieurs formations ont eu lieu à Vénissieux, en France, mais aussi au Tchad et au Sénégal.
Fidèle à l'un de ses principaux objectifs, à savoir le transfert de connaissances et de compétences aux acteurs du monde humanitaire, CartONG continue 
à donner des formations de spécialisation.

The objective of the project was to introduce and present GIS tools in an humanitarian context, and to analyze the needs and capacities of Groupe URD, in order to ass which could be the inputs of geomatic technologies in the Groupe URD, and how CartONG could implement them.
Since 2012, CartONG has been providing training courses to Bioforce students (in particular project managers, WASH coordinators and logisticians) on Mobile Data Collection, GIS and M&E. Several trainings took place in Vénissieux, France, but also in Chad and Senegal.
