In 2022, CartONG carried out a participatory mapping project with Médecins du Monde France in informal settlements in Mayotte. Having worked for several years with NGOs combating inadequate housing, we decided to revisit this project in the context of increasingly violent political evictions and the destruction of camps and shantytowns.

En 2022, CartONG menait un projet de cartographie participative dans des quartiers spontanés de Mayotte auprès de Médecins du Monde France . Engagés depuis plusieurs années auprès d’ONG luttant contre l’habitat insalubre, nous avons souhaité revenir sur ce projet dans un contexte politique toujours plus violent d’expulsions et de destructions des campements et bidonvilles.

En février, CartONG a mené une mission de deux semaines en Syrie pour accompagner l'équipe de Solidarités International (SI) en matière de Systèmes d'Information Géographique. Une mission qui s'inscrit dans le cadre d'une consultance plus large que CartONG mène pour les équipes de terrain de SI en Syrie depuis septembre 2022. Plus d'informations dans cet article.
