CartONG est partenaire avec le projet de cartographie Healthsites depuis 2017. Nous avons eu récemment l'occasion de tester la plateforme Healthsites.io grandeur nature avec son flux de données complet lors d'un projet de collaboration sur les données au Sénégal, qui a été mis en place avec l'appui de Geomatica et de la communauté OSM locale.

Dans le cadre de la conception de notre Projet Associatif lancé au début 2019, CartONG a décidé que la suite logique était désormais pour notre organisation d'adopter officiellement les Principes pour le Développement Numérique - nos actions étant basées sur des valeurs fortes pleinement alignées avec ces 9 principes. As part of the process of designing a comprehensive Associative Project in early 2019, CartONG decided it was a natural step forward for our organization to officially endorse the principles for Digital development, as our actions are based on strong principles that are fully aligned with all 9 of them. CartONG was in Haiti in June as part of the project "Our City is Safer for Women", an initiative led by CARE's office in Jeremie and funded by UN Women, for giving a training in participatory mapping methodologies.

CartONG était au mois de juin en Haïti dans le cadre du projet « Notre ville est plus sûre pour les femmes », une initiative menée par le bureau de CARE à Jérémie et financée par ONU Femmes, pour une formation aux méthodologies de la cartographie participative.

Since its creation and the drafting of its statutes in 2006, CartONG had not updated any document defining its global objectives. With the growth and diversification of our activities in recent years, it had become necessary to draft an associative project that would clarify the social contribution of our organization to society, specify its fields of expertise, (re)define its values and detail our growth over the past 13 years – so as to guide future developments.

Depuis sa création et la rédaction de ses statuts en 2006, CartONG n’avait pas mis à jour de document définissant ses objectifs globaux. Avec la croissance et la diversification de nos activités ces dernières années, il est apparu nécessaire de rédiger un projet associatif qui viendrait clarifier l’intention sociale de notre structure, préciser ses champs d’expertise, (re)définir ses valeurs et clarifier les étapes de sa croissance ces 13 dernières années -  le tout pour permettre de guider son évolution future.

One of the main aspect of the work carried out by CartONG since its creation in 2006 has been to build capacity within the aid sector, particularly in the fields of GIS and MDC. After a year dedicated to structuring and scaling up our training offer in 2017, CartONG carried out a significative work in 2018 on the training and support services offered to its partners.

Thanks to the support of the Fondation de France, CartONG is launching a new project called “Maps from here & abroad”, aiming to foster the social inclusion of the migrant population in France by using mapping activities under various formats!

Grâce au soutien du Comité Solidarité Migrants de la Fondation de France, CartONG lance un nouveau projet intitulé "Cartes d'ici et d'ailleurs" visant à favoriser l’inclusion sociale des personnes migrantes en France grâce à un médium qu’elle connaît bien : la cartographie sous ses multiples façettes !
