In June 2016, following a second bidding process, CartONG was one of the organizations (including iMMAP and MapAction) to be retained by the UNICEF West and Central Africa Regional Office, setting the framework to be deployed in the WCARO region to support UNICEF country operations in Information Management and Mapping.

CartONG implements the Site Mapping together with UNHCR GDS unit (Global Data Service, previously known as FICSS within the organization) by deploying a user-friendly smartphone application for data collection and maintenance and which stores all collected information online in versatile web maps accessible to all actors in need of it. Already covered camps are accessible in the webmap section of the map portal (maps.unhcr.org).

CartONG continuously works on improving the site mapping application, and beyond this, our team also provides direct support to field operations.

Linking communities to Mine Action – strengthening community liaison through digital platforms.

The objective of the baseline assessment is to ensure a strong understanding and analysis of the existing needs, capacities and practices, which will inform the development of uses cases and the subsequent development of the web portal and SMS service.

Le dernier Atelier de collecte de données sur mobile NOMAD, intitulé "Sensible and Secure: Humanitarian Data Collection and Management" a eu lieu les 27 et 28 janvier 2016 à Amman, en Jordanie. CartONG et iMMAP ont organisé l'atelier en partenariat avec Solidarités International et avec le soutien du Haut Commissariat des Nations Unies pour les Réfugiés (HCR). 

The latest NOMAD Mobile data collection workshop, entitled “Sensible and Secure: Humanitarian Data Collection and Management” was hosted on January 27th and 28th 2016 in Amman, Jordan. CartONG and iMMAP organized the workshop with support from Solidarités International and the generous sponsorship of the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR).
