The Joint IDP Profiling Service (JIPS), a team supported by UNHCR and other organizations, has published their report on urban refugees in New Delhi. The data used in this report was collected with mobile phones supported by CartONG.

CartONG  co-organized  with iMMAP the NOMAD workshop 2013 entitled “Linking Humanitarian Organizations with Mobile Data Collection Tool Providers”, with the aim of connecting Mobile Data Collection solution providers with humanitarian organizations. The event took place from the 13th to the 15th of May 2013 and was hosted by the French Space Agency (CNES) Headquarters in Paris.

Le 18 avril 2013, un atelier informel s’est déroulé à Genève. Plusieurs représentants de diverses organisations humanitaires se sont rassemblés pour partager et échanger sur le thème : « Les SIG pour les abris d’urgence et la réinstallation des populations ». Cet atelier, organise par Rob Fielding (Shelter Centre), a été pensé pour permettre de discuter de plusieurs besoins apparus sur la thématique du Shelter&Settlement, et de la façon dont les Systèmes d’Information Géographiques pourraient apporter une réponse à ces besoins.

On 18th April 2013, an informal workshop in Geneva saw representatives from various humanitarian organizations gather to share and exchange under the theme "GIS for Shelter and Settlement".

This workshop, organized by Rob Fielding (Shelter Centre), was intended to discuss specific needs and issues raised in Shelter and Settlement, and how GIS applications can support these needs. It was also the occasion to prepare the Shelter Centre meeting (25-26th April).

CartONG continues its development work for Rongead to help the cashew nut industry in the Ivory Coast.
